18K Gold Essex Crystal Pheasant CharmAt Kirstens Corner we always find a bit of magic in the reverse painted Essex crystal items. At Kirsten’s Corner we always find a bit of magic in the reverse-painted Essex crystal items. They are made with a painstaking technique that involves carving on the back of the crystal and then delicately painting an image so that a three dimensional form is captured within the stone. In this charm, we see a pheasant flying above a grassy field. The bird has beautiful details, with each feather individually carved out. The ring around the pheasant’s neck makes a tiny added detail and indicates that this is a ringneck pheasant, and a lovely plume of golden feathers on the bird’s backside shows its grace. The crystal is backed in Mother of Pearl, adding another layer of luminous shine. The reference to snow globes is ever present and taps into childhood magic.
The charm was converted from Edwardian cufflinks, circa 1910. We also have its counterpart, the 18K Gold Essex Crystal Wild Turkey Charm, available in our shop.
The charm measures 1/2” across and 7/8” from top to bottom, including the bail. The bail’s opening measures 5.5 mm. The piece weighs 2.6 grams. Marked 750 for 18k gold.

Yes these are good and yes you should buy some.
My now go to snack. About as natural as it gets so the shelf life isn’t too long but they usually get eaten well below the expiration date.

Just what I needed

I have a one bedroom apt and my son stays with me half the time. He has an air mattress in the living room until I can afford a 2 bedroom. But he’s in his early teens and needs privacy. I bought this after looking online at may of these. I’m so glad I went with this one. It covers his air mattress 3/4 of the way around and now he has his own little nook. I also gave him some led lamps and he might it like his own little nightclub. He LOVES it. And now he’s excited to be in his space. The quality is so good and there’s no see through, no gaps, it’s perfect.

Instructions could be clearer, but assembles well and is sturdy

The only reason for the lack of a star is the iffy instructions. There are a few different washers and the instructions could make the difference a LOT easier to understand and thereby reduce the need to re-do things. Other than that, the panels were easy to assemble and the parts fit well together. I was able to disassemble the screens and store them for a future use, which is nice. One caution - the feet that make the panels stand up will likely be a trip hazard, so be sure to plan the location for this device carefully.
