Fits: All 1980-91 North American Vanagon Westfalia. Does NOT fit European models with the raised center aisleway at the shifter.

Fitment Note: There are two ways to order this mat. The center 'living area' piece is designed to go under the cabinets and rear bench seat. This means you will have to remove or lift your cabinets and rear bench seat panel to install this piece. If you do not want to remove or lift your cabinets and rear bench seat panel to install this carpet, please select the "Smaller Width" option, and we can have that piece made smaller and bound on all edges with a felt backing, so it will butt up against these interior parts instead of passing underneath them.

Quality & Installation Tips

Gluing: This carpet also needs to be glued in place to ensure the material lays flat over all the curves and contours. We suggest you purchase at least two cans of high-temp spray adhesive of any respected brand. Three cans may be necessary depending on how trigger-happy you are. Here at GoWesty, we use this stuff.

Trimming and Fitting: Successful installation of this carpet kit demands that the material overlaps in several areas. Minor trimming of the bottom layer may be required to achieve that factory-original fit. Carpet edges that reside underneath the overlapping top layer are purposely left unbound for the flattest lump-free finished look. Every top-level  exposed edge is edge-bound to prevent fraying.
