"Totally inviting bouquet of Pinot with aromas of wild raspberry and oak seasoning, dark cherry and dusty, stony soils, a moderate oak toasty barrel aromas and an overall youthful and vibrant nose. On the palate - tense and youthful, firm and dry, varietal, fruity and textured. Fruit flavours mirror the bouquet with a concentration and drive, tannins and acidity are equally important role adding a bold textural statement. There’s a harmony alongside youthful, a core of fruit alongside the need to let this wine settle-in. Best drinking from 2022 through 2028+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jul 2021

"The first vintage under this label was from a Lowburn vineyard opposite Bendigo. Hand-picked grapes were trucked to Hawke's Bay. A smooth-textured pinot noir with dark cherry, plum, mixed spice and a suggestion of grape stems supported by peppery tannins" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jun 2021

Beautifully fragrant, the wine is built around a core of black cherry and berry fruit, overlaid with beautiful floral and spice notes. The oak is subtle, supporting the wine without dominating the fruit and there is an underlying mineral element. On the palate the wine is medium weight and supple with incredible textural length, combining elegance and fineness with undeniable presence.

Off a single estate in Lowburn situated on a free draining schist terrace just above the lake. This site is relatively warm and sheltered, with the lake helping to moderate the local climate. It has produced a wine with textural ripeness while retaining very good fragrance and typicity. Warmer than average, though not excessively so, 2019 was a good year for Central Otago. Sugar ripeness was behind physiological ripeness with reasonably low brix levels still translating through to excellent flavour, well balanced acidity and ripe, supple tannin. The vines were all pruned to two cane VSP and the crop load was very light, with one extremely small, fist sized, bunch per shoot. The block is a mixture of clones, each bring a different structural element and another layer of aroma and flavour. 32% Clone 5, 25% 115, 15% 10/5, 12% 777, 10% Clone 6 and 7% Abel. The fruit was hand harvested and transported overnight to our winery in Hawke’s Bay.

Food Pairing: The richness and complexity of this Pinot Noir makes it well suited to a variety of meat or game dishes, particularly where savoury flavours abound.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.
