Stop guessing distance in the dark. The Athlon Optics Cronus ATS 35ML-400 pairs a high-resolution 12μm thermal sensor with a built-in 1,100-yard laser rangefinder, giving you both detection and precise ranging in a single compact handheld. Identify a heat signature at 3,000 yards, then range it instantly — no secondary device, no fumbling in the dark, no missed opportunities.

Key Features
  • Built-In 1,100-Yard Laser Rangefinder – The defining upgrade over the standard 35M model. Get accurate distance readings to your target without carrying a separate rangefinder — critical for making clean, ethical shots on predators and varmints at night. Supports single-shot and continuous ranging modes.
  • Cutting-Edge 12μm Thermal Sensor – The 400 x 300 resolution sensor with ≤50mK NETD picks up subtle heat differences that coarser 17μm sensors miss. At this price point, most competitors still ship 384 x 288 sensors — the Cronus gives you more pixels where it counts.
  • Sharp OLED Display – The 640 x 400 high-resolution OLED delivers vivid contrast and crisp imaging for fast target identification. Five customizable color palettes let you dial in visibility for your specific environment.

  • Hot Spot Tracking – Automatically detects and follows the hottest object in your field of view — ideal for picking out moving targets in dense brush or scanning open terrain quickly.
  • 2.6x–10.4x Optical and Digital Zoom – Start with a wide 7.5° x 5.6° field of view for scanning, then zoom in to 10.4x for positive identification at distance. Picture-in-picture mode lets you maintain situational awareness while zoomed.
  • 9+ Hour Battery Life – Outlast a full night in the field. The included 18650 battery and spare keep you running, and USB-C external power support means you can plug into a battery pack for continuous operation.
  • WiFi & Athlon Thermal App – Record video, capture snapshots, and stream live footage directly to your iOS or Android device through the Athlon Thermal app. Review hunts, share clips, or document surveillance observations without extra gear.

  • Weatherproof and Durable – IP66 waterproof, fog-proof, and shockproof construction handles rain, dust, and rough terrain. At 14.8 oz, it adds only 2.5 oz over the non-LRF model for a significant capability upgrade.

Who It’s For
  • Night hunters who need to range before they shoot. If you’re making shots on predators or hogs beyond 200 yards in the dark, knowing exact distance is the difference between a clean kill and a miss. The integrated LRF eliminates the need to juggle a separate rangefinder.
  • Long-range varmint hunters who work open terrain where holdover and bullet drop matter. Continuous ranging mode tracks distance as targets move, keeping your dope current without repeated button presses.
  • Budget-conscious buyers stepping up from basic thermals. The 35ML-400 delivers a 12μm sensor, F1.0 lens, 3,000-yard detection, and an integrated rangefinder at a street price well below similarly-equipped competitors from Pulsar and InfiRay.
  • Tactical and security professionals conducting nighttime operations who need both positive identification and precise distance data in a single lightweight package.

35M vs. 35ML: Which One?

The Cronus ATS platform comes in two versions. The 35M-400 ($1,549.99) includes a visible laser pointer for target indication and weighs 12.3 oz. The 35ML-400 ($1,949.99) replaces the laser pointer with a 1,100-yard laser rangefinder and weighs 14.8 oz. If you need precise distance data for shooting, the 35ML is the clear choice. If you primarily scan and spot without ranging, the lighter 35M saves you $400.

This is the book you are looking for.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
After searching through about four different vocab books, I finally found one I can truly vouch for: Robert's Extremely Nerdy Guide to Digital SAT Vocabulary. Robert is actually my daughter’s SAT tutor and recommended this book. At the time, my daughter had almost given up on the vocab portion of the SAT—there were only 7 weeks left to the test date (we’re now down to just 2 weeks). Honestly, what can you achieve in that short time? Still, I decided to buy it—what did we have to lose? Because I’d already gone through so many SAT vocab books, I knew a good one when I saw it. Just flipping through the first few pages convinced me this was the right fit, and my daughter immediately got to work. The book starts with 6 sections on word roots, then moves into 26 sections of similar-meaning words. Each chapter includes a matching activity (which my daughter finds essential for retention) and ends with SAT-style practice questions. Since using this book, she spends much more time memorizing and testing words. I only wish we had discovered it earlier so she could have had more time to digest and apply what she’s learning. Before this, she was getting about 50% of vocab questions right on a good day; now, after just over a month with this book, she’s averaging 80–90%. As a side note, I’m not a native English speaker, and I’ve also learned so many words by reviewing her answers. Almost every word I’ve come across in the past and thought, “I should look this up someday” seems to be in this book—a testament to why the SAT brought vocabulary back for the digital test. This book has served my family extremely well, and I plan to start my youngest child on it earlier. Get this book, and start early.

Fantastic categories for SAT vocab
Robert’s vocab book has been a fantastic addition to my tutoring resources. My students love the ease of progression through the short chapters. It is helping tremendously with vocabulary comprehension in addition to his mock tests.

Great list of words
Format: Kindle
Useful words, well organized. It's a valuable resource for students who are looking for points beyond grammar/notes/transitions.
