Dating to approximately 370 million years ago, the fossil preserves multiple articulated individuals across an impressive two-metre span, creating a display of exceptional scale and scientific importance.

Preserved in situ through rapid burial in a low-oxygen marine environment, the colony retains extraordinary anatomical detail throughout. Delicate feeding arms, intact calyx crowns, continuous stem columns, and anchoring root structures remain clearly visible, reflecting minimal post-mortem disturbance and an exceptional state of preservation.
