Pirates Playing Cards is a beautifully and intricately designed deck of pirates themed premium playing cards put into a mechanical opening and closing tuck box with gear movement made entirely out of paper which is no bigger than a standard deck of cards. THE DESIGN

We have wanted to do a pirate's theme deck for a long time which we started working on over a year ago, completely hand drawing the artwork which we believe you will find incredibly appealing especially the 4 Aces, the 12 court cards and the 2 Jokers. The time gone into creating these art pieces, adding in all the details, took close to a year.

GEAR BOX

We have applied our amazing "gear box" to this project which was conceptualized and developed by our team at the Paper Gear Company. The gear box, which is what we have named it, is the first of its kind. Using our combined vast paper engineering knowledge, we developed a special box that is no bigger than a standard playing cards tuck box with a mechanical gear box opening function which is visually astounding.

When it came to the box, we decided unanimously that we had to use our special gear tuck box. Designing the art for the gear box is by no means easy as the available space for content is reduced significantly compared to a standard tuck box.

After having created the design, which we were very happy with, we further improved it by adding a splash of color to the main mechanical moving parts of the box to accentuate this area which did absolute wonders and brought out the best in this box which is also gold foil stamped for the icing on the cake.

The result is astounding, and we cannot be more pleased with how everything has turned out. We're so excited about this deck and we hope you will also share the excitement with us so that we can put this deck into mass production and into the hands of those who love it as much as we do.

We spent at least a year and a half on perfecting the mechanics of the box, ensuring that it works and that it's solid enough not to be easily broken. It had to feel the part too so making it the size of a standard playing cards tuck box was essential. The intricacy and the attention to detail, we hope you will agree with us, is out of this world. What makes this gear box more amazing is that it is made entirely out of paper. Super environmentally friendly is another very important factor to us when developing the box.
