It is with great relief and joy that NOCCA’s Media Arts Department presents MARS III, a retro-futuristic concept album spanning the work of many students, from freshmen to seniors, graphic designers to filmmakers, and every producer and composer in between. The album was finished with guidance from NOCCA Media Arts faculty, each of whom are active artists in the recording industry. We collectively poured our hearts and souls into every facet of this record, and hope you will help us commemorate this unforgettable school-year by listening and sharing its songs and images.
The MARS III album is held in a sleeve that features beautiful artwork designed by NOCCA students. The album will also be distributed via streaming services--stay tuned for additional details! You can also find tracks on SoundCloud.
“The 2020-2021 school year brought many challenges to students and teachers alike, and NOCCA’s Media Arts Department found itself technically limited by numerous restrictions on both student interactions and access to the professional calibur of equipment that NOCCA’s campus usually provides. The prospect of producing a full-length vinyl record comprised of only original compositions from 2020-2021 was daunting, to say the least, as students dealt with stresses and tragedies, privately, through the often claustrophobic tiny rectangles they used to virtually connect with their teachers and classmates. To make it worse, the pandemic forced live, public performances of music to be replaced by streaming events-- something which our (then strictly virtual) department was not able to provide. MARS III exists despite all of this and we cannot wait to share it with you.

Extremely Helpful for Dry, Irritated Skin but Personally Too Heavy for My Face

This is one of those products that I completely understand the hype around because it truly does work very well for dry, irritated, over-processed, or compromised skin areas. The texture is rich, soothing, and very protective without having a strong fragrance, which I appreciate because heavily scented skincare products usually irritate my skin immediately.
I have found this especially helpful for dry patches, irritation from weather, over-exfoliation, and areas where the skin barrier simply feels stressed or uncomfortable. A very small amount goes a long way and the tube itself lasted much longer than I expected.
That being said, for me personally this product is simply too heavy to use regularly on my face because I am somewhat breakout-prone with richer creams. While it feels incredibly soothing, I personally prefer using it more selectively on very dry or irritated areas rather than as an all-over facial moisturizer.
The packaging arrived perfectly sealed with no leaking or damage during shipping and the product looked exactly as expected upon arrival. For the amount you receive and how little is needed per use, I also think the value is very good compared to many other barrier repair creams.
Overall, I absolutely understand why so many people love this product and I do think it is excellent for repairing and protecting irritated skin — I just personally have to be careful about where and how heavily I apply it.

Excellent skincare product

I am very happy with this product. I have been using it on irritated and dry skin, and I noticed a big improvement in a short time. It has a smooth texture, absorbs well, and does not feel greasy. It helps calm the skin quickly and restores the skin barrier. I have used it both on my face and on small sensitive areas of the body, and it works very well in both cases. It is definitely a skincare essential that I will always keep in my routine. I highly recommend it.

Worth the hype

I’ve seen La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 recommended countless times online, so I finally decided to try it for irritated skin and a damaged skin barrier. It absolutely lives up to the hype for me. The texture is very rich and moisturizing, but it feels extremely soothing on dry, overtreated, or sensitive areas. I’ve used it on my face, hands, and other irritated patches of skin, and it really helps calm everything down.
The quality feels excellent, which is what I expect from La Roche-Posay. A little goes a long way, so I think it’s a very good value for the price. I also like that it’s versatile enough for the whole family. I’ve even shared it with my daughter, and we both love having it around for dry or irritated skin. Definitely one of those products I can see myself repurchasing regularly.

This cream has honestly become one of my skincare essentials. My skin gets easily irritated and reactive, and this balm calms everything down almost overnight.
