The Bosch Dicentis DCNM WD Wireless Device forms part of the Dicentis Conference System and enables conference or meeting participants to speak, register a request-to-speak, and listen to a speaker during a conference or meeting. The device can be easily configured as a single-user, dual-user or chairperson Wireless Device via the web browser interface of the Dicentis DCNM WAP Wireless Access Point (not included). The Dicentis Wireless Conference System System utilises standard Wi-Fi according to the IEEE 802.11n standard, and operates in 2.4 and 5 GHz bands (license free), meaning that the system is visible in the network, so that other Wi-Fi WAP's will recognize the Dicentis WAP and can avoid using the same channel. All wireless signals within the system are WPA2 encrypted which is a highly secure encryption method used by mobile devices to guarantee protection against tapping or eavesdropping. Smart Wireless Management allows the system to constantly monitor the availability and load of channels. When traffic increases it seamlessly and automatically switches to free channels without interference or interruption.

Packet Loss Concealment allows the system to automatically predict what a damaged or lost packet should be and fills the gap, resulting in continuous audio without losses. This is a unique capability that no other competitive product offers.

Advanced audio processing enables the microphone and loudspeaker of the Bosch Dicentis DCNM WD to be active at the same time. The system also makes use of a built-in and intelligent Acoustic Feedback Suppression feature developed by Bosch. It automatically adapts to the environment and maximizes speech intelligibility when higher volumes are required.

The lithium?ion rechargeable Battery Pack (DCNM WLIION - not included) can easily and quickly be removed and replaced in a matter of seconds delivering maximum flexibility in continuity and recharge scheduling to the Dicentis Wireless Conference System. There is a Smart battery management feature accessed via the web browser interface control providing battery status and usage counting time.

The Bosch Dicentis DCNM WD Wireless Devices accommodate two headphone sockets and volume controls (one of each on the left and right-hand sides), so the speaker can be clearly heard, even when there is excessive background noise. A mute Button can also be configured (single user mode only).

The DCNM WD are not supplied with a microphone. These are purchased as a separate item to allow customers to select the gooseneck microphone/s which best suit their application and needs. There are three microphone models to choose from. The stylish DCNM HDMIC highly directive microphone containing two precisely positioned capsules. The DCNM MICS Multimedia short stem 310mm gooseneck microphone, or the DCNM MICL Multimedia long stem 480mm gooseneck microphone. The selected microphone simply plugs into the socket provided on the back of the unit.
