SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE. You're comfortable with a sewing machine and sewing straight seams, but may be new to using patterns. Learn how to read and follow a pattern and develop the skills you need to move on to more complicated pieces or modify patterns by adding pockets, changing necklines, sleeve length or redesigning it into a tunic. Recommended woven materials: cotton, linen
