Yellow Lady Banks Roses are vigorous climbers consisting of medium to light green foliage, thornless branches capable of spreading over 20 feet in length! Miniature yellow double blooms adorn the plant in the spring and early summer providing a slight fragrance. Lady Banks Rose is extremely easy to grow which is one of the main selling points for gardeners who purchase it. Since it is a vine, they are usually found sprawling across patios and entryways or up/over trellises and pergolas. If you would like you could even use it as a container plant or as a ground cover along banks to help alleviate erosion.

Yellow Lady Banks Rose Care

Sunlight Requirements

The Lady Banks thrives under full sun but will also tolerate partial shade conditions without much of a fuss. It will flower in both, but the best and healthiest blooms will be produced when exposed to 6 - 8 hours of uninterrupted sunlight daily. In addition to the blooms, the foliage will also grow to become much dense when full sun exposure is provided.

Is Yellow Lady Banks Rose cold hardy?

Cold hardy from USDA zones 9 - 11 as an evergreen and capable of surviving the winters of USDA zones 6 - 8 as well. In colder climates your Lady Banks will act as a deciduous plant and lose its leaves during the winter.

Climbing Yellow Rose Watering, Spacing and more!

This vine is highly adaptable and will grow in a variety of conditions. Rich, well-drained soil that remains moist is ideal for growth, but it will also withstand drought like conditions once established. Be sure that your soil is also rich in organic material. Otherwise, it is not picky about soil types.

Lady Banks blooms on old wood, so be careful not to over-prune the older branches. You’ll be busy enough trying to contain the size of this rose – it is not meant for small spaces and can easily grow to 30 feet or more, quickly swallowing all that stands in its way. Pruning back fully may be detrimental to the life of your plant. Around February, before the growing season starts, prune if you please.

*The Yellow Lady Banks Rose (Rosa banksiae 'Lutea') is a deciduous/semi-evergreen plant and will go dormant during the winter months. When this plant is ordered during the Fall/Winter expect seasonal foliage decline (discoloration, spots, leaf drop) or the plant to arrive completely dormant. *

Sturdy bouncy fun!
Color: D) 4-Pack 3" Balls (Yellow), Color: D) 4-Pack 3" Balls (Yellow)
Great product. My big 70lb Sheppard puppy loves it, hasn’t stopped playing with it since it arrived. She throws it about and chases it, had a good chew on it and even put it in her favorite toys bin. Sturdy, firm and very bouncy. And there are 3 more in the bag for an awesome price. Bright color will make it easy to find and holes thru it will prevent choking and I can string it on a line for training play.

Dogs love these
Color: C) 2-Pack 2.5" Balls (Yellow)
Great quality balls for tough chewers. I love them, but wish the orange ones were available more...I've been checking cuz they are easier to find in the yard than the green that blends in. Our dogs love them and I like the weight for throwing.

The perfect toy for dogs!
Style: The Duo
This is perfect when you have 2 dogs who love to play Fetch! They no longer have to chase after the same ball! The balls that come with it are very sturdy, and the launcher sends both balls far enough away so that both dogs get plenty of exercise. It’s definitely worth the price!

PERFECT RETRIEVING TOY
Style: EcoFetch
You can barely whip it and it sails far and fast. This is the perfect retrieving toy for my GSP. She's used to average and we now have a small yard, so the dog park is where she gets to run hard and fast. You can also throw tennis balls with it, which is a plus for when her sister steals her ball. 5 star fun!
