About Our Organic Sage Petites Feuilles Essential Oil

This essential oil is cultivated and harvested exclusively from the field in Haut Provence (pictured above) by one of our most distinguished distillers and to the best of our knowledge our Sage petites feuilles is the only low ketone Sage cultivated according to the requirements of AB and the SIMPLES organizations.

Essential oils are emerging as a promising frontier in the management and prevention of neurodegenerative disorders. While current therapies focus primarily on symptom control and slowing disease progression, research in recent years has been published to reveal the potential of EOs having a more foundational role as an underlying preventive and treatment strategy for neurodegernative disorders.
Studies have reported the potential of Cinnamomum species (sp.), Salvia sp., Lavandula sp., Citrus sp., Artemisia sp., and Zingiber sp. to exhibit neuroprotective effects. Specific studies emphasize the importance of Salvia sp., suggesting the potential that they could be used to treat Alzheimer’s disease. EO from Salvia officinalis showed significant Acetylcholinesterase inhibition.
