Not only does it fully enclose the camera inside the cage it provides several additional mounting points in an area of the camera that is often overlooked. The backplate provides bumper protection for the SDI, USB, Ethernet and Lemo connection ports as well as giving you the opportunity to use the optional XLCS usb c lock

This backplate is an awesome addition to your Full Metal Jacket or Hollow Point cage for Blackmagic PYXIS 12K or 6K. Not only does it fully enclose the camera inside the cage--it provides several additional mounting points in an area of the camera that is often overlooked.

The backplate provides bumper protection for the SDI, USB, Ethernet and Lemo connection ports--as well as giving you the opportunity to use the optional XLCS usb-c lock to secure non-locking cables to your rig (protecting both the cable and the port).

There are 2 places (Top and Bottom) where you can mount our direct-to-cage 15mm rods on to the back to attach batter plates and more (these are spaced at the standard 60mm distance for 15mm accessories)

Furthermore--the 3/8"-16 holes (top and bottom) with Arri spacing holes will allow you to mount a top handle to the back; providing you with a back grip which is ideal for use with an easy-rig.

The 2 piece design allows you to use the backplate with the Blackmagic PYXIS' native BPU Battery--or you can cover the battery bay with the included insert--which adds a third 3/8"-16 threaded mount and a cold shoe--perfect of mounting a mic pack, wireless transmitter or other accessory to the back of your camera.
