This unique, hand painted German style beer stein is a two-for-one deal! Not only can you use it to drink beer (or any beverage of your choice) but it also plays music! The stein is hand painted and depicts a fun scene of a woman dancing while a man plays the flute. There are so many fine details in the artwork as well, including little cherubs along the bottom of the mug. The attached lid appears to be pewter and features small swirls and floral designs. If you lift the mug up or turn it over, you can wind up the small knob to play the music. The music that plays is a soft, gentle tune. On the bottom, you will also see a wooden panel, which can be unscrewed for access to the musical mechanics. The mug and musical features appear to be in excellent vintage condition. The music plays as it should, and the mug shows only minor signs of wear, but no cracks, chips or defects. Origin est. 1970s. Measures approx. 4" in diameter and 9.5" to the top of the lid. Bought this for homemade coffee brewing, just to spice things up. But as I go ahead to heat up my new shiny stainless steel milk frother cup in the microwave, whoopdy doo. Ya can’t put stainless in the microwave! Regardless, it’s still a straightforward frother cup to handle, making it a great dollar investment for upgrading my home cafe setup.
