Pair of Italian Carved Walnut and Mahogany Antique Beds, 19th Century!
This matched pair of Italian beds dates to the 19th century and reflects the restrained architectural classicism favored in Italian furniture of the period. Constructed in walnut with mahogany elements, each bed features a strong rectilinear form enriched by finely executed carved and molded details rather than heavy surface ornament.
The headboards are surmounted by pierced triangular crests with delicately incised scrollwork, flanked by turned finials that add vertical emphasis and a subtle decorative flourish. Both headboards and footboards are paneled with raised, molded surrounds, creating depth and architectural definition consistent with Renaissance Revival and late Neoclassical influences.
Fluted columnar posts frame the panels and terminate in solid block feet, grounding the design and reinforcing its architectural solidity. The warm patina of the wood highlights the natural grain and craftsmanship, while the restrained carving suggests these beds were intended for a refined domestic interior rather than overt display.
The beds retain their original proportions, suitable for narrow European mattress formats, and were likely produced for a well-appointed Italian residence in the mid to late 1800s. As a pair, they would have been intended for a guest suite or secondary bedchamber, offering symmetry and visual harmony within the room.

Gorgeous Distressed Bronze Frame, Easy to Hang

This bronze frame looks really, really good—honestly, it passes for real bronze at a glance. It has a nice distressed finish that gives it some character without overdoing it.
It’s also surprisingly lightweight, which makes it much easier to hang on the wall. The overall build feels solid, and I don’t see any issues with it coming apart or feeling cheap.
I especially like the back—everything is well thought out, from the sawtooth hangers to the tabs that make it easy to open and insert your print.
I didn’t have my print yet to put in it, or I would’ve included a photo of it fully set up, but I added some pictures to show the detail and the back hardware.
Great-looking frame, well made, and easy to work with. Definitely happy with it.

Nice Frames

I purchased two of these frames in black. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they are given the price was so low. I removed the film on both sides of the plexiglass as instructed and it was crystal clear. These are not high quality frames if that's what you are looking for.....real wood or glass. However, they are awesome for the price and what I needed them for. I would purchase them again.

Perfect for my neefs
