The earphones have been cleaned with alcohol and a protective solution. The earphones cable casing has split near one of the earpieces but it does not affect functionality - see photos.

Released in 2005, the Sony MZ-EH50 is a Hi-MD compatible MiniDisc player. It is fully compatible with standard MiniDisc media. 
It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality. 
It weighs 80 grams without a battery or disc installed. 
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
