This shoebox sized keepsake box is made from walnut stained pine, and features a brass hasp and hinges and rope handles on the side, and a haunched box joined construction.   We carefully cut, finish, and join every wooden chest with great care drawing on over 30 years experience in the wood box and crate making craft.

Each chest has unique characteristics that vary in finish color and texture, just like individual works of art.  Every wood box has its won character with cracking and distressing  that expresses the natural trait of the timber.

This keepsake box was suggested by a customer looking for a place for her small children to keep their art projects and collectables, and also as a nice Christmas gift.

•    OD – 14.25 x 7 x 9.25 - around the size of a shoebox

•    Rope side handles and front brass hasp.

The keepsake box is made from Radiata Pine.  The wood is .75" thick for the lid and corners, and has a 3/8" bottom,  and the outside is stained with a walnut colored oil finish. The sides are joined using a haunched box joint.  A box joint means the ends of the wood pieces are interleaved almost like dove tails. The box is then pin nailed for a super strong joint.

The rope handles and brass hardware add handsome design elements for rustic, farmhouse, and transitional interiors.  This wooden chest works for bath organization, as a keepsake box, treasure chest, memory box, or box for photographs.
