The ART SCL2 - Dual Stereo Compressor Limiter Expander With Gate is a dynamic signal processor designed for studio recording and live sound reinforcement applications. The 1RU rackmountable device is housed in a durable steel chassis and features balanced 1/4" TRS connectors and balanced XLR connectors for main channel inputs and outputs, as well as a 1/4" TRS connector for a sidechain input.
The device can be used to provide anything from smooth subtle compression to hard limiting, as well as reducing noise with fast gating or through expansion. The knee, the attack, and the release of the compressor can be set by the user or the device can be set to auto mode. A bank of LED meters provide visual feedback of each channel's gain reduction.
