It’s juicy and fruit driven, blackcurrant and raspberry, grainy powdery tannin, some tobacco, and a jubey finish of decent length. Great depth of colour and a fragrant, aromatic nose reminiscent of cooler vintages in Bordeaux. Loads of complex characters with hints of cassis, graphite and vital black fruit flavours. The palate is medium to full in weight, claret-like with its grippy but integrated tannins ensuring a long finish. Excellent in its youth it will also reward with short term cellaring.

Food Pairing: Perfect with lamb dishes.

A true and varietal cool-climate Shiraz that exudes fragrant red and black fruits with an underlying spice and the smallest suggestion of oak. A medium-bodied style that is so typical of this part of Victoria, bold and generous flavours all framed by glorious organic fruit. Well-proportioned palate weight on the finish with good tannin structure and balanced by firm acidity.

The wine displays varietal leafy notes and provides an authentic Cabernet with bright acidity and a long finish. While drinking well now it will improve with up to five years cellaring.

The Barossa Valley makes up the majority of the fruit source with typical plum, red licorice, chocolate and mocha characters whilst the addition of the spicier, elegant fruit of the cooler Eden Valley has added lift, interest and freshness. This is a contemporary Barossa Shiraz having spent maturation time in older oak adding subtle vanilla and earthy nuance. There’s softness on the finish while maintaining freshness and vibrancy.

In the glass it’s coloured purple with a dense and dark body. A full-bodied and very aromatic Shiraz showing purple berry fruits, dark chocolate and integrated spices. The palate shows good weight and evenness whilst the fine tannins and integrated acidity drive persistence to the length.
