The Art Deco style, an extraordinary profusion of ideas and daring, succeeded the lyrical blooms which, under the name of Art Nouveau or even Modern Style, marked the transition from the 19th century to the 20th century. Without presuming the future, we can say that it constitutes the last truly original expression of French art before the eclecticism and internationalization - today we would say globalization - of the second half of the century. This new version of Art Deco Furniture - first published in 1981 - takes up most of the texts from previous editions, including the chapter on liners added in 1990. However, a number of notices have been completed. The illustration has been updated thanks to the contribution of color photographs.
