The big advantage of the Rotary Head (single fixing bolt) design is it's increased range of saddle position on it's rails. For smaller riders, the post can be reversed (sending the 25mm offset forwards) drastically shortening the bikes cockpit length (perfect for long top-tube bikes) and the saddle can still be levelled correctly.

Normally, seat posts will only allow you to level the saddle, when installed in one orientation, however these single pivot fixing posts allow you to orientate the seat post with its 25mm offset forwards (and still level the saddle) considerably shortening the effective length of the top-tube. This also improves bike fit by increasing the range of the saddle position, making it easier to locate their knee over the pedal effectively.

As they grow, you can reverse again and continue to gradually move the saddle back on its rails. Lightweight and versatile, this is the must-have seat post for kids!
