Overview of the Boston Leather Radio Holder for Harris XG-75 | 5609RC-1

Reliable radio security

You count on your radio every shift, so the holder has to keep it locked in place. The Boston Leather Radio Holder for Harris XG-75, MPN 5609RC-1, delivers a secure, custom tight fit that keeps your radio where you need it while still letting you reach the controls quickly. The rigid body supports the radio on all sides so it can handle bumps, grabs, and movement in tight spaces.

Top grain leather construction

Like all Boston Leather gear, this holder uses smooth black top grain leather that looks professional on duty and holds up under daily use. A sturdy leather top strap with a nickel snap secures the radio at the top, while the open front window and side cutouts keep the screen, speaker, and push to talk area easy to access. The shaped body keeps the radio from wobbling without adding extra bulk.

Built for real calls

Custom built around the Harris XG-75, the holder uses dialed in dimensions so your radio sits snugly: about 2.5 inches wide, 1.9 inches deep, with a front height of 5.7 inches and back height of 6.2 inches. The front window starts roughly 1 inch up from the bottom, measures about 1.8 by 2.4 inches, and leaves about 2.3 inches of leather above it for extra protection. EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, and search and rescue personnel rely on setups like this because they stay comfortable, keep radios audible, and free up your hands during busy calls.

Key Features

  • Model specific fit: Custom built for the Harris XG-75 portable radio to limit movement and rattling.

  • Material: Black top grain leather body for durability, comfort, and a clean duty ready look.

  • Secure retention: Leather top strap with nickel snap keeps the radio seated while still allowing fast removal.

  • Front window and cutouts: Open window and side slots give access to the display, speaker, and controls while the radio remains in the holder.

  • Attachment points: D-rings accept the Boston Leather 6543 radio strap and compatible chest or shoulder straps for flexible carry options.

  • Interior dimensions: Approximate interior width 2.5 in, interior depth 1.9 in, front height 5.7 in, and back height 6.2 in for a tailored fit.

  • Window placement: Front opening starts about 1 in from the bottom, measures roughly 1.8 in by 2.4 in, with about 2.3 in of leather above to shield the top of the radio.

Compatibility

The Boston Leather 5609RC-1 Radio Holder is designed specifically for the Harris XG-75 portable radio. The interior size, window placement, and strap position all match this model so the radio stays stable and easy to operate.

Because of this custom build, other Harris or non Harris radios may not seat correctly, may cover controls, or may lack proper retention. If you use a different radio model, compare its size to the listed interior dimensions or contact WCUniforms before ordering.

The integrated D-rings are intended for use with Boston Leather radio straps such as the 6543 and compatible anti sway straps or keepers for chest or shoulder carry.

Intended Users

This holder is created for public safety professionals who carry a Harris XG-75 as part of their essential gear.

EMTs and paramedics use it with a radio strap to keep the radio high on the chest where they can hear traffic clearly while carrying bags, moving patients, or working in and around the ambulance. Firefighters and search and rescue personnel route the strap under turnout or outerwear to keep the radio secure but reachable in smoke, low light, or rough terrain.

It also works well for other first responders and technical users who want to move the radio off a crowded duty belt and onto a more comfortable cross body carry setup during long shifts.

What’s Included

  • Boston Leather 5609RC-1 Radio Holder for Harris XG-75 - one black top grain leather holder with D-rings and nickel snap retention strap.

Items not included but commonly paired with this holder:

  • Harris XG-75 portable radio.

  • Boston Leather 6543 radio strap and optional anti sway straps or belt keepers.

These components are sold separately so you can match the holder to your existing radio and strap configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions about Boston Leather Radio Holder for Harris XG-75

Question 1. Will this holder fit radios other than the Harris XG-75?

This model is built around the Harris XG-75 only. Some radios with similar size might sit inside, but the fit, window alignment, and retention are tuned for the XG-75, so other models are not recommended.

Question 2. Can I use this holder with a radio shoulder strap?

Yes. The side D-rings are designed to clip into Boston Leather radio straps such as the 6543, along with compatible anti sway straps, so you can carry the radio across your chest instead of on your belt.

Question 3. How does the holder keep the radio from falling out?

The rigid leather body hugs the radio, and the top strap closes over it with a nickel snap. Together they help keep the radio from bouncing out while you run, climb, or work in crowded spaces.

Question 4. What color is the holder?

The holder is black, using smooth top grain leather that matches common duty gear and maintains a professional look with uniforms.

Question 5. How should I care for the leather over time?

Wipe the holder with a damp cloth to remove dirt and let it dry naturally. When needed, apply a light leather conditioner sparingly, avoiding heavy oils or harsh cleaners that could soften the leather too much or affect the stitching.

Worth the money
Color: White
I have only used the pencil for a couple days, but it is definitely worth the $10 price. It easily turns on, needs no Bluetooth to use, has a battery indicator, charges very quickly, has extra tips, and works well. The only issue I have on my 11th generation A16 iPad, is when the pen is magnetically attached, it covers part of the volume down button and sometimes causes volume mute.

works just like a name brand apple pencil!
Color: White
i wanted an apple pencil with my new ipad but absolutely refuse to pay the cost of the name brand. this connected/paired super easy and even had the magnet in it to connect to the size of the ipad. i mainly use it for playing games, navigating my ipad, and sometimes coloring and its easy to maneuver! it comes with 3 different tips for different sized writing if youre one to take notes. it charges super quick, id say within 10-15 minutes, and the charge lasts (depending on use) HOURS! i think i maybe charge it every 2-3 days, and i use it quite frequently. overall a really good dupe if youre balling on a budget like me!!

WOW! This printer has been VERY impressive thus far *UPDATE*
Color: Black, Style: ET-2800-B, Pattern Name: Printer
My old printer broke (sooner than I would have liked) so I did A LOT of research before deciding to buy this Epson EcoTank printer for home office use. This is my honest review of it this far and I will definitely update my review if I run into any issues. So far, this printer has been pretty impressive (I've been using it for about a month). The price was pretty average for a printer... but I personally think all printers are overpriced so it was a bit more than I would have liked to spend. It is smaller and more lightweight than I was expecting which is a plus because it takes up less desk space than my previous HP printer. It is very easy to set up, comes with step-by-step easy instructions and guided instructions through the app. It only took me about 10 minutes (Mostly just waiting for the printer to initialize on its own). It is very easy and surprisingly satisfying to fill the ink tank. I like the idea that this ink might last longer than traditional cartridges and won't have as much plastic waste that went along with my old HP Inkjet. I have printed plain black and white documents as well as photos. I print all my photos at home, which is most of the printing that I do, so quality was important to me. The photos came out with pretty good quality! No ink smudges or off colors, colors are bright/vivid, and it is easy to modify what paper you're using with automatic prompts on the printer. Now for the negatives and the reason I'm giving this 4 stars... app to printer connection issues. This was a big issue with my old printer as well. I'm pretty tech savvy and I just have no idea why this is still always an issue for me. There is an extra Epson app that you are supposed to download for printing. Sometimes it can find my printer, sometimes it can't. Sometimes it gives me printer errors or won't let me print documents. And now every time I go to print something it says the paper being used doesn't match the paper settings so I have to bypass that error message (even though it does match in settings and the app, and this happens for both regular paper and photo paper). I've turned everything off and back on again, but the issues with consistent connection and error messages are still an issue. Usually with some fiddling around, I can get the documents/pictures to print but sometimes it feels like I'm jumping through unnecessary hoops. I'm still working out the kinks so if I find some magic solution I'll update my review. Considering this is an issue with most home printers I've used, it's not a deal breaker. All in all, if you are looking for a new home printer, I would definitely recommend this one. The quality has been great for me and I am pleased with my purchase (so far). Hope this helps! *UPDATE*: I have now printed HUNDREDS of photos, they are all excellent quality, and my ink tanks are still mostly full. This is WAY better than my HP printer as far as ink longevity. Changing my review to 5 stars just based on how long this ink lasts. User interface is still a tad annoying but so worth it regardless.

Almost a year after purchase and this printer has not let me down!
Color: Black, Style: ET-2800-B, Pattern Name: Printer
I wanted to wait to write a review on this printer to see how it held up over time. Happy to report, after almost a year, it is still working perfectly! I was very nervous about purchasing a printer since it was my first time having to shop for one and almost every printer I looked at had something negative to say about the product. After extensive research, I decided to take a leap with the Epson EcoTank 2800. I was looking for a printer to use for recreational use. Something with decent print quality and longevity as well as something on a reasonable budget. I normally print full pages of color and have been using it regularly for around a year and I have about half of the ink that came with the printer left. Safe to say, the ink lasts a while. The quality may not be the top of the line quality you can get with a more expensive printer, but for the price and just everyday use, the quality is satisfactory. It was easy to set up and walked you through the instructions to connect to devices and configure it. The screen is a little small but if you can overlook that, it really is a nice printer. I have used regular printer paper, card stock, and sticker paper with this printer and I try to load only a few sheets at a time to avoid a jam but I haven't had any issues with it so far. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. It can be extremely difficult to find a decent printer and some reviews can be misleading or leave you with questions on if the product is for you. If you are looking for something for printing everyday with decent quality and ink consumption that won't cost you a fortune, this printer is definitely worth taking a chance on!
