Reproduction of Evening Wine II by Julia Purinton
Julia Purinton — "Evening Wine II" presents a masterful synthesis of still life tradition and contemporary painterly sensibility. Executed in a loose, impressionistic style, the work aligns with the lineage of 20th-century American still life painting, drawing inspiration from the luminous palettes of artists like Mary Cassatt and the textured realism of the Hudson River School, yet reimagined with a modern, minimalist sensibility. The composition is structured with a deliberate asymmetry, balancing the dense forms of the bottles and glasses in the foreground against the expansive, rolling hills of the background, creating a dynamic interplay between the tangible and the atmospheric. Purinton employs a restricted yet harmonious color palette, dominated by warm, earthy tones that evoke the golden light of a late afternoon. The use of thick, impasto brushwork adds a tactile quality, emphasizing the materiality of the wine bottles and the softness of the landscape. This technique enhances the visual depth and creates a sense of movement, as the light appears to ripple across the canvas. The work is situated within the broader context of contemporary still life, a genre that has evolved to reflect a renewed interest in sensory experience and the quiet beauty of the everyday. Purinton’s interpretation of this genre is both a celebration of the simple pleasure of wine and a meditation on the passage of time, as the setting sun casts a warm glow over the vineyards, suggesting a moment of quiet contemplation. The painting’s interpretive significance lies in its ability to transform a mundane scene into a deeply evocative and aesthetically compelling work, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the beauty found in the ordinary. For more art by Julia Purinton click here.

Love this tree to organize my jewelry. Easy to assemble and plenty of space for earrings and rings

Easy assembly
Color: Silver
Super easy assembly, one screw in tree trunk is unscrewed to place bowl and tree together - Phillips screwdriver needed. I bought the silver ring holder which perfectly suits my personality and decorative style. Can't tell you how wonderful it feels to finally have all of my rings off of my desk and stored in an easy to find place! Space saving is high on my list because I currently live in a 28' camper, so do not have my larger jewelry boxes in here with me. It only arrived today (7/28/2019) so this is with only a single days use, but am very pleased with the purchase and value for the ring holder - I was specifically looking for an inexpensive metal ring tree versus a plastic one.

Don’t bother, not worth the $
Much smaller in person than it appears. Looks more like a piece of coral than a tree. I got this to display some ornaments for sale at craft fairs, but it’s so small, it looks silly with the ornaments on it. Super flimsy, made of cheap plastic. Definitely not worth $14. Will be returning.
