The AL560 requires the power chair to have flip-back arms — chairs with fixed arms are not compatible. Your vehicle needs a Class II or III hitch and a hitch height between 5" and 19". If your power chair is larger than the 28.5" platform width can accommodate, see the AL560XL with its wider 32.5" platform. We confirm compatibility on every order before it ships — no exceptions. The AL560's loading sequence is fully hands-free from the user's perspective. The platform lowers to ground level; the power chair user drives directly onto the platform from either side using the chair's joystick; the vertically adjustable padded hold-down arm descends automatically and presses down on the seat to secure the chair. One switch lifts the platform to travel height. No straps to thread, no docking pin to engage, no caregiver assistance required. The wheel cradles adjust to provide a custom snug fit for each chair's wheelbase, providing additional lateral stability during transport.

The platform folds automatically when the power chair is removed — press the switch and the platform rises vertically against the vehicle for a compact stowed profile. Manual crank backup allows the platform to be lowered in the event of a power failure. License plate mount included standard. Both use the same automatic padded hold-down arm, drive-on/off platform, and one-switch operation. The only meaningful difference is platform width — the AL560 has a 28.5" × 38.5" platform while the AL560XL has a wider 32.5" × 38.5" platform for larger power chairs. The XL weighs 115 lbs installed vs 105 lbs for the standard. If your power chair fits comfortably on a 28.5" wide platform, the AL560 is the more economical choice. No — the AL560 requires flip-back arms. The padded hold-down arm secures the chair by pressing down on the seat, and fixed arms prevent the arm from reaching the correct position. Call us and we will identify the right lift for a chair with fixed arms. 866-218-0902.
The AL500 uses four Q'Straint retractors that hook to the chair's frame — it is lighter (75 lbs) but requires a manual attachment step. The AL560 uses an automatic padded hold-down arm — no hooks to attach, purely drive-on and go. The AL560 requires flip-back arms; the AL500 does not have that restriction but uses a different securement approach. A Great Historical Noir
Format: Kindle
As a lifelong Angeleno, the dark history of the city is often glossed over. Much like Chavez Ravine, the history of Union Station is one of violence and the forced displacement of the original Chinatown and its residents. It's in this setting where the mysterious death of Chinese actress Lulu Wong (who is somewhat based on the real life of actress Anna Mae Wong) begins, and took me into the lives of the amazing Chow sisters - May and Gemma - both of whom have their own reasons for wanting justice. They know the LA cops won't bother to solve the death of a Chinese woman, no matter how famous. It's also a matter of saving their beloved Chinatown from being destroyed in order to build Union Station. I absolutely loved how immersive this story felt and how authentic all of the characters were.

Pretty good

In 1932, Lulu Wong made a name for herself by leaving Chinatown and becoming a Hollywood star. Most girls who look like her don't get lead roles, so Lulu is the pride of her neighborhood. So everyone is shocked when Lulu's body is found in a local stable far from her Beverly Hills home by her friends, sisters May and Gemma. The girls know that the police won't look too hard into the murder, so they decide to take matters into their own hands. As they investigate, the sisters discover a plot to frame Chinatown as a den of iniquity that should be demolished in favor of constructing a new train station. May and Gemma soon find themselves in a race against time to not only find justice for their friend but save their neighborhood, all while being targeted by a killer.
I've only read a few books by Lee, but they've all been winners. I love her style when it comes to YA historical fiction. She crafts compelling plotlines that include real issues of the time with characters you can't help but root for. I liked both our main characters. May was more logical and reserved, while Gemma was a spitfire, but they balanced each other perfectly. I liked how we got both of their POVs, but I did enjoy Gemma's slightly more because I loved her gumption. I thought the mystery was well-paced and kept me intrigued. I had no clue how it would play out, and I liked how Lee wrapped it all up. It did drag a bit in the middle, but overall, I thought it was entertaining.

I had hoped that Kill Her Twice would grab my attention in the first few pages and not let go till the very end (like her other books I have read), but this one had a very. Slow. Start.
The mystery of the death of a young Chinese starlet in California in the early 1900’s is the catalyst that starts everything: new characters are continuously introduced, their motivations becoming clear and murky and clear again several times before the last quarter of the book. But. The last quarter (finally) had me hooked.
