Bonnie's breakthrough hit was her second ever single "Lost In France" which climbed to No.9 in the UK charts. "It's A Heartache", Bonnie's next single was her first hit in the US, reaching No. 3 in the Billboard chart. The 80's saw even greater success. A burgeoning collaboration with epic rock pioneer Jim Steinman garnered both a Grammy nomination and phenomenal international recognition with the album Faster Than The Speed Of Night (1983), and multi-platinum selling power ballad "Total Eclipse Of The Heart." It climbed to No. 1 in the UK and No 4. in the US on it's way to platinum status and features stellar backing from the E Street Band's Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg, Rick Derringer (The McCoys, Steely Dan), Larry Fast (Peter Gabriel, Foreigner, Hall & Oates) and Paul Shaffer (Late Night with David Letterman, Blues Brothers).
