Spilldoc Marine Spill Containment Booms are used to skim and absorb oil off water surfaces contaminated with hydrocarbons. They are mainly used on offshore spills as oil absorbing barricades to prevent spreading of the spillage and also soak up oil contaminants from the water surface.
These marine floating booms are able to absorbs and retains oils and oil based liquids including lubricants, fuels and crude oil, without absorbing a drop of water. It is made of tough material and has chemical-resistant outer mesh and inner skin which keeps polypropylene filler inside for a lint-free boom with maximum absorbency and outdoor durability. Booms keep absorbing and stays afloat even when fully saturated and have built-in clips to join booms together for the desired length. Inner rope gives added strength and enabling easy deployment and retrieval on water.
