Beautiful vintage coat by Koos van den Akker, from the late 70s/early 80s. Very interesting design- the knit comes from the back and rolls at each side of the front opening and circle back to create a layered look, with the outer layer stitched at the sides and trimmed in ultra-Koos cotton strips that feature a red and white triangle print on brownish black. Various shades of brown, white, and black plaid knit boucle throughout. Front partial placket with snap button closure, and a v-shaped open front vent that lets your outfit peek out from under. The coat starts slim and flares out from the hips on. Cutest collar, with a strap extending from the button placket and closes up toward the shoulder. Solid black trimmings on cuffs and hem. Pockets at hips. A gorgeous and rare piece.
