Description

Explore Scientific Twilight Heavy Duty Tripod (Black)A heavy duty tripod with 2 inch stainless steel legs, adjustable height from 26. 5 to 42. 5 inches, and a die cast aluminum spreader tray the most stable tripod option for Explore Scientific's Twilight and iEXOS mount families, built to handle heavier equipment loads with minimal vibration. The 2 inch stainless steel legs are significantly thicker than the 1. 5 inch legs on the Medium Duty model, providing a stiffer structure that damps vibrations

A heavy-duty tripod with 2-inch stainless steel legs, adjustable height from 26.5 to 42.5 inches, and a die-cast aluminum spreader tray — the most stable tripod option for Explore Scientific's Twilight and iEXOS mount families, built to handle heavier equipment loads with minimal vibration.

The 2-inch stainless steel legs are significantly thicker than the 1.5-inch legs on the Medium Duty model, providing a stiffer structure that damps vibrations faster and resists flex under heavier payloads. This matters most for astrophotography, where even small vibrations during an exposure show up as elongated stars. The die-cast aluminum spreader tray locks against the inside of the legs with a threaded T-bar, triangulating the entire structure. The tray doubles as a convenient shelf for accessories, batteries, or a laptop.

The 42.5-inch maximum height puts the eyepiece at a comfortable standing position for most observers, while the wide footprint keeps the center of gravity low. Collapses to 31.5 inches for transport.

These are tripod legs only — no mount head included. Compatible with Twilight I, Twilight II, and iEXOS-100 mounts (iEXOS-100 requires the azimuth adjuster adapter, sold separately).

Key Features
  • 2" stainless steel legs with powder-coated aluminum fittings
  • Height range: 26.5" to 42.5" (31.5" collapsed)
  • Die-cast aluminum spreader tray with threaded T-bar lock
  • Wide footprint for maximum stability
  • Weight: 13.6 lb (6.2 kg)

Ideal For
  • Astrophotographers with heavier imaging trains — the thicker legs minimize vibration during long exposures
  • Twilight II mount owners — the matched heavy-duty tripod for this mount
  • iEXOS-100 users who want the stiffest possible platform — significant upgrade over the stock light-duty tripod

Slick White Shirt
The shirt is actually pretty nice. The material is a bit thicker without being heavy so it isn't see through. The material is also soft and silky on the skin. I ordered a large as I am somewhat between a medium and a large depending on the clothing. The large was a bit big on me. It didn't really have any shape to it. I am 5'10" about 170 and the shirt was too big. If you normally wear a large I would say stick with the large but if you are between sizes size down. I did wash and dry it to try to get some of the wrinkles out and drying it got a decent amount of the wrinkles out. The problem is, and why I took off 1 star is that I assume drying it caused the material to kind of bunch a little around the buttons. The shirt just isn't smooth/flat anymore around the buttons. Otherwise it's a nice shirt I'd recommend for things like resort wear or a summer business casual party.
