• Folds Flat, No Tools Needed – Pressed steel pins rotate smoothly and stop at set angles to avoid over-rotation or rattling.
• "Stealth Mode" - Flush Mounting – Regain full use of your roof rack when your MAXTRAX® aren’t mounted. In the low-profile (flush) position, our bracket folds the mounting pins below the plane of your roof rack, making it easy to slide gear, rooftop bags, or other equipment across the surface  (Note: Requires 12” of clearance between the adjacent roof rack crossbars outside your mounting point, crossbars  must be less than 7” wide.)
• Raised Mounting Option – The bracket can be configured to provide 1.25 inches of rise—just enough to allow the MAXTRAX® Mounting Pins to rotate freely. This gives you the clearance needed to mount MAXTRAX® in either a north-south or east-west orientation on most roof racks.
• Adjustable Folding Direction – Pins can fold inward or outward by reversing the L-bracket and hardware. You can even mix directions to suit your rack layout.
