Marking the group’s first new vinyl release in decades, the collection arrives shortly after their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It brings together twelve of their defining songs, including “Jungle Boogie,” “Ladies Night,” “Celebration,” “Get Down On It,” and “Cherish,” accompanied by a newly written historical essay from one of the band’s longtime collaborators.
Arriving on the heels of the Kool Summer remix EP, which featured contributions from Young Franco, DJ Crazy, and Prince Hakim Bell, the new collection underscores the band’s ongoing relevance. Where Kool Summer reimagined their catalog for contemporary dance floors, Greatest Hits restores their music to its classic vinyl form, emphasizing the warmth and groove that have always defined their sound.
