soft and cottony.
Soft, cottony, do not dissolve immediately.
I use these to soak my eyes with warm water and they hold well for the 4-5 times of soaking and putting on the eyelids ordered by my ophtamologist. They won't hold for more that 4-5 soaks though.
They are also excellent for eye make-up removal.

These cotton balls are large
Because these are so large, you only need one. Theyβre more expensive, but because you only need one, they go a long way. Theyβre worth the he price, I think. The ones Iβve bought that are cheaper & much smaller, you usually have to use 3-4 balls. Try βem youβll love them!

Decent but not my favorite
I wish I hadnβt ordered such a large box of these but Iβll make them work. The little sleeve is a nice idea but my fingers still slide out when Iβm using one for toner or to remove makeup. And the edges sometimes scratch my face, only the middle βpillowβ part is soft. Overall very βmehβ lol
