"Aberdeen in the Fifties and Sixties" is a beautfiul collection of photographs displaying images of two of the most exciting decades Aberdonians ever lived through. It is a fascinating book that will captivate both locals and tourists alike.

In post-war Aberdeen, skeletons of buildings bombed during the blitz were flattened, events such as the advent of the North Sea oil industry and the arrival of the first Chinese restaurant are all recorded here.

The great exodus from the city centre got under way with major new housing schemes springing up all around the outskirts. This led to the bus becoming king of the road, ending the city's tramway era.

Landmarks like Black's Building and Castlehill Barracks became a mere memory and the first high-rise blocks altered the city's skyline. Aberdonians shopped at Reid and Pearsons, Watt and Grants, all now consigned to memory.

Brought together for the first time in this unique book from the photographers of the Evening Express, they paint a picture of change over a 20-year period that now seems as sudden as it was dramatic.

Best sunscreen product ever
This is the best sunscreen I have come across! I love that it goes on like normal sunscreen, but then dries so there’s no greasy slimy feeling. I have used this and only this since I have found this product. It is reasonably priced and offers great protection. I am a very fair skinned redhead and I have not once burned while using it. I highly recommend this product it is the best sunscreen you can get.!

Doubles as a facial moisturizer
Goes on easily and works effectively. I noticed how smooth my face has become since I began using this product. Great product especially for me since I am concerned with skin safety.

Good sunscreen great price
Seems to work well. Feels good on my face. Does leave a white cast but it's not as bad as other sun screens like the Neutrogena sport face. I wear it at work so I don't care. Edit- this sunscreen seems to break down some plastics. I've gone through two cheap sunglasses lol

Love this for my face!
Neutrogena SPF 100 sunblock lotion is the only sunscreen I trust and use on my face. It gives amazing protection without making my skin feel greasy or heavy. I’ve tried so many different sunscreens, and this one works the best for me. It absorbs nicely, doesn’t leave a bad white cast, and wears well under makeup too. A little goes a long way, and I love knowing my skin is protected, especially during summer or long days outside. Definitely a staple in my skincare routine!
