This product is designed for the management of hypothyroidism in dogs.

Active ingredient: Levothyroxine Sodium

Pack size: Contains 250 tablets in blister packs of 800mcg, also available in 200mcg and 400mcg dosages.

Indications for use: Avoid use in dogs with untreated adrenal insufficiency. Do not administer to dogs known to be hypersensitive to levothyroxine sodium or any of the other ingredients. The diagnosis of hypothyroidism must be validated through appropriate testing.

The tablets are flavored. To prevent accidental ingestion, keep tablets out of reach of pets.

Dosage: The suggested initial dosage of levothyroxine sodium is 10 µg/kg body weight given orally every 12 hours. Due to variations in absorption and metabolism, the dosage may need adjustments before a full clinical response is achieved.

The initial dosage and frequency are just a starting point. Treatment must be highly personalized and adjusted according to the needs of the individual dog, as monitored by the veterinarian. In dogs, food may influence the absorption of levothyroxine sodium.

Therefore, maintain consistent timing of treatment relative to feeding each day. To divide a tablet accurately, place the score side facing up and apply pressure using your thumb. To split the tablet into two parts, hold one half down while pressing down on the other half. For dogs weighing less than 5 kg, give a quarter of a 200 μg tablet once daily. Close monitoring by your veterinarian is recommended in these cases.

Storage: Keep in a cool place below 25°C. Any unused portion of a divided tablet should be returned to the opened blister and used within 4 days.
