The AEM 21-477P Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific Subaru Impreza WRX/WRX STI, Forester Turbo and SAAB 9-2X models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is relocated to the passenger-side wheel well which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable chrome-like finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine's factory emissions control devices including the mass air flow sensor. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Honestly I didn’t use it yet but just by inspection it. Looks very good. On thing I have to say is. Amazon did it again. Perfect. The outside box was a little dented and slightly crushed on the corner but the inside box that holds the air filter was perfect. Me being a delivery driver at one time am amazed that the packages always come delivered in perfect condition. I know how easy they can get damaged. Great job Amazon and the drivers and the whse and package dept. great job
Update, I just put the air filter in my Honda and it feels faster and more responsive. I will be buying this air filter again. I bought a spearhead air filter for my tundra , and it’s a good filter but I think I am going to switch to a kax filter for two reasons
First I said I put it in my Honda and it feels faster and responds quicker.
Second. I know it’s not a good reason but I like the color.
But I really feel the difference.
