Her first album in fourteen years, it was recorded in Wales with guitarist/producer Mark Pavey; along with contributions from bass player Matt Malley. The album "still has that in-a-room feel," said Beverley recently, "it sounds like an old style analogue record. It's very me, very transatlantic." It features songs written throughout her entire career, from her very first song, "Sweet Joy", to the previously unrecorded Nick Drake & Beverley Martyn song "Reckless Jane" which was started in 1974 when Drake lived nearby Beverley in Hampstead. I’ve been getting into more natural skincare lately, especially beef tallow products, so I wanted to try a sunscreen like this. I like that it uses tallow along with zinc oxide for protection.
The texture is smooth and not overly greasy, and it blends in better than I expected for a mineral sunscreen. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized. I’ve used it on both my face and body, and it feels comfortable throughout the day.
It’s also been good with my daughter’s skin, even though she has skin problems, which has been a big plus for us.
