Two options available: Basic Sponge or Carbon Sponge
The Clearvue 45 filtration chamber makes it very easy to see when the filter needs to be replaced or cleaned. The user can decide to recycle the entire clear container and replace with a new one without ever touching the “dirty” parts, or the more hobbyist driven can clean the sponge out and reuse. If your tank requires the use of activated carbon to remove organics that are causing the water to be discolored, the tank has an odor, or if you have medication that you want to remove from the water, Cobalt offers a carbonated sponge that will both mechanically and chemically filter your water from both particulates as well as the dissolved organics or medications that you may want to remove. The carbon sponges should be changed out every month or so as the carbon will loose effectiveness over time.
