This series of archival 78 transfers was originally released in 1995 on CD only. This volume from Central Asia has to be one of the most revelatory volumes yet presented. Concentrating on a singular geographic region, this volume unearths some of the rarest recorded artifacts of music from the Central Asian countries of Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Caucasus region, Tadjikistan, Azerbaijan and others. Of all the recent excavation projects inspired by our voracious musical culture, none is more fascinating than Pat Conte's Secret Museum series for Yazoo. Until now, a Western listener's familiarity with ethnic music from the distant past has depended on field recordings of relatively recent vintage, produced in a spirit of near-scientific inquiry by anthropologically-minded musicologists. When the commercial record business really began to expand in the late '20s however, just about every national style of music was sought out and captured for a growing marketplace. This was true "world music," dressed in it's Sunday best perhaps as performed by ambitious locals, but still more vital than the academic, folklorist approach that followed. Just as Harry Smith compiled early commercial blues and country records for his monumentally influential Anthology of American Folk Music, so Conte has gathered even rarer 78s from all over the globe. Thanks to excellent remastering, we can hear vividly how an ensemble sounded in India or Japan more than a half-century ago or a klezmer orchestra right before the Nazis destroyed that bit of local culture. It's like owning your own time machine. Gorgeous gatefold Stoughton tip-on sleeves with newly-discovered vintage color photos not available on the original CD issue. This is a limited edition one-time pressing of 1,000 copies.

IT HOLDS!

Heavy duty set. My desktop weighs about 60lbs, and I’m surprised how well it’s being held. I’ve always had my desktop on top of my desk. But it feels so much more roomier not having it on top of my desk. On top of that during this cold weather it’s like having a heater under my desk. Of course my desktop is gaming wise. But if you are someone with just a standard browsing desktop then it shouldn’t be hot down there. Make sure your desk is real wood or thick metal. If it’s an ikea table and the basic kind where it looks like wood, but it’s actually cardboard inside then for sure it’s gonna snap off, and that wouldn’t be pc mounts problem, rather a desk type issue.

Heavy-Duty Solution for Large Towers — Rock Solid
This CPU holder is exactly what I needed to reclaim my desktop workspace. I wanted to get the computer off the desk to clear up room for projects, but I didn't want to put it on the floor where it’s susceptible to static and pet hair. This mount keeps the tower tucked away under the desk but still within easy reach.
Build Quality & Weight:
The unit is impressively well-built with sturdy steel. While the specs state it can hold up to 44 lbs, my current build is closer to 20 lbs, and it handles it with zero flex or wobble. It feels very secure once locked in.
Design & Airflow:
One of the best benefits I’ve noticed is the noise reduction. Having the case mounted under the desk surface helps shield the sound of the fans, creating a quieter workspace. The open-frame design is also great for airflow and keeps all the ports easily accessible. It’s highly adjustable (width 7.7” to 11.8” and height 20” to 25.8”), so it should fit almost any full-size case.
Installation Tip:
Installation was straightforward, though I’d recommend measuring your desk thickness first to ensure it can support the weight. If you’re looking for a solid, full-size PC holder to keep your system off the floor, this is a great choice. It feels like a professional-grade mount that will last through several different builds.

Great way to keep your PC off the floor, especially with a standing desk
This mount is a great solution if you want to get your desktop tower off the floor and clean up the space around your desk. The construction feels very solid and once installed it holds the PC securely without any wobble. I like that the frame is adjustable so it can fit different case sizes, and the open design allows for good airflow while still supporting the case well.
It is especially helpful if you have a standing desk. Keeping the tower mounted under the desk means all of the cables move with the desk when it raises or lowers, which makes everything much cleaner and easier to manage. Installation takes a little planning to line things up correctly, but once it is mounted it feels very secure. If you want a cleaner workspace and a better setup for a standing desk, this mount works really well.
