The Libec EX-160S is a straight track extension rail kit engineered to lengthen the physical tracking distance of the TR-320 Tracking Rail system or work alongside the CR-90 Curved Rail system. This modular system allows production crews to double or scale up their tracking shot runs quickly without tools.

• Two-Set Segment Expansion: The package consists of two sets of straight aluminum rails (totaling four individual pipes, each measuring 800 millimeters). When joined end-to-end, they provide a seamless extension of exactly 5.5 feet or 1.6 meters to your existing dolly track.

• Precision Screw-In Joining Mechanism: The ends of the high-grade aluminum pipes are machined with custom stainless steel M12 x 1.75 inner threading and matching screw caps. The pipes screw together tightly by hand, creating a completely flush, bump-free joint transition so the dolly's polyurethane wheels slide over the seams without causing micro-stutters or bumps in your camera frame.

💡 The Joint Alignment Clean Pass: When assembling the extension rails on soft ground, grass, or uneven terrain, never lock down your track clamps until the inner M12 joint screws are completely tightened down. Align the pipe segments horizontally on flat ground first, screw them together tightly to form a seamless single rail, and then lock the track correction clamps or structural braces onto the pipe. This sequence ensures the wheel path remains perfectly straight and eliminates microscopic alignment gaps.

• Thread Maintenance: Before packing the extension segments back into the nylon carrying case after an exterior shoot, check the open stainless steel screw joints for dirt, sand, or moisture. Wiping the threads clean protects the precision pitch from binding or stripping out the next time you connect the tracks on set.
