Composite spinnaker pole fitting with Trip-Trigger

The end fitting is made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide composite. This material makes for a combination of low weight and strength and it also prevents damage to boat or mast when the pole is on the fore deck. The claw has a well rounded stainless chafe guard, preventing damage to sheet and guy.

The stainless, spring loaded plunger is operated at the end fitting or with a release line. Attachment holes for spinnaker pole lift and downhaul or bridles.

The Trip-Trigger function locks the claw in open position and closes it automatically when a windward guy is entered.

The inner part of this fitting has a diameter of ø64 mm and is used for Seldén ø72/84/96 mm alu poles and ø77/88/90 mm carbon poles.

4 Monel pop-rivets (ø4,8x16,5 mm) and a 0,5 mm thick spacer shim are included in the kit. The pop-rivets are only to be used for installation in an aluminium section - not in carbon fiber.

Adaptor 534-781 for installation in a ø84 mm pole section has to be ordered separately.

Connect only to Seldén's ø30 mm Spinnaker pole eyes 534-531-01, 534-528-01, 534-529-01, 534-507-01 or 534-529-02. See Yacht catalogue, version 8, page 147.

An Essential
Format: Paperback
I've created PowerPoints for executives in major corporations and national non-profits for years now, and this is one of the first books I suggest anyone who needs to create their own PowerPoint look to. Beyond Bullet points is accessable enough that the novice PowerPoint user can understand what's going on and use the lessons in his or her next presentation; it's also detailed and challenging enough that even an old salt like me can find things to learn and do. Don't be another person who stands on stage reading their PowerPoint, and don't let reading your slides distract the audience from your presentation; follow the suggestions in this book and wow your audience.

Bad book for SOA exam, but oh well.
Format: Paperback
While required by Society of Actuaries as the textbook for Short Term Actuarial Models exam, I could not recommend this textbook for any other purposes. Written by two Canadian actuaries, a lot of terms and explanations used in this textbook cannot be transferred into US P&C insurance. It fails to explains insurance's purpose and products effectively and as an intro book with unnecessary sentences to deliver personal thoughts. It is also a mess in following sections on ratemaking and reserving. I cannot sense a flow from this book that guides readers in an approachable manner. Overall, author compromises the size AND the quality.
