Pygmy Bamboo is a dwarf running bamboo with slender pencil-sized green clums divided by distinctive purplish nodes and long palm-shaped foliage.  Grows best with part shade and moist well-drained soils.  Plant in a contained area to prevent over-spreading.  Drought tolerant.
