First published in 1996 and updated in 1997, this is a biography of the American tennis player Pete Sampras which examines his preparations tournaments and his personal relationships with close friends and sporting rivals.

You’ll go with Sampras as he prepares for Grand Slam tournaments and thrill at his epic battles with some of the all-time greats. There is his rivalry with Agassi and the others and the unforgettable triumph in the 1995 US Open.

What goes on between Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi off court? How did Sampras cope with the emotional roller-coaster he rode as coach Tim Gullikson battled against cancer?

The answers are to be found in 'Sampras: A Legend in the Works' as award-winning tennis writer H.A. Branham takes the reader on tour of the grand circuit with one of the most misunderstood tennis giants of all time.

This is a tennis book for all seasons and all surfaces. Get ready for some surprises, some fun, some scandal, and a booming serve. This is a paperback reprint of the 1997 edition and has not been updated since.

Used Watch?
Color: Black/Gray/Digital
The watch is great but the watch had been worn. The protective film was removed and it was loose in the watch box and not on the plastic holder. I bought a new watch not a used one. Joe

My last Timex and why.
Color: Black/Gray/Digital, Color: Black/Gray/Digital
New edit. Upon further reflection, I’ve only had, a couple of exploratory years with Swatch excepted, Timex watches. My first one was when my mother replaced the Chicita Banana “tickity tock” sticker with a real Timex wind up watch before my first Cub Scout camp. In addition to many other Timex products, I’ve had these Ironman watches for the past 25+years. Usually the band wears out and can’t be replaced after three or four years. This particular watch fell apart less than six weeks old. It wasn’t hit by impact. It just came apart while I was driving down the road. I wonder if they’ve changed their manufacturing process. See photo for details. What is truly infuriating is that rather than replacing it, because it is truly a warranty issue, the told me to ship it to their offshore repair facility (which could take 3-5 months) and pay what might be half the value of the watch. Things happen, but the intentional friction they have created to avoid their obligations borders on malpractice and speaks to their indifference toward customer experience and subsequent lifetime value.

As expected
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Just an old school digital timex. Tried and true. Has both 12hr and 24hr function on the time setting. Has a standard stop watch and timer. The battery is great, just as it always is on a timex. Good water resistance and very easy to use. Overall very good watch for the price!
