Oriental Papaver 'Red Rumble' – Hardy Perennial Red Poppy Plant

Bring bold, vibrant colour to your garden with the Oriental Papaver 'Red Rumble'. This striking hardy perennial produces large, semi-double flowers in a rich scarlet-red with ruffled, crepe-like petals and dark basal blotches at the centre. A true showstopper in any border, 'Red Rumble' delivers an eye-catching display from late spring into early summer, and will reliably return year after year once established.

Oriental poppies are one of the most rewarding perennials to grow. They thrive in a sunny position with well-drained soil, requiring minimal maintenance once settled in. After flowering, the foliage dies back naturally before re-emerging in autumn, ready to perform again the following season. They pair beautifully with other cottage garden favourites such as geraniums, nepeta, and ornamental grasses, which help fill the gap once the poppy foliage retreats.

Planting and Care Tips:

  • Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot – oriental poppies dislike waterlogged soil.

  • Water regularly after planting until established; once settled, they are drought tolerant.

  • Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering – it will return in autumn.

  • Avoid disturbing the taproot once planted, as oriental poppies prefer to remain undisturbed.

  • A light mulch in autumn can help protect the crown over winter, though this variety is fully hardy.

Notes: This listing is for the 'Red Rumble' variety, featuring rich scarlet-red, semi-double ruffled blooms. Please be aware that perennial plants may arrive dormant depending on the time of year – this is perfectly normal, and growth will resume in the appropriate season.

Fit perfectly and very complete set of parts
Had everything I needed plus some extra parts in the kit. I probably could have just replaced the impeller for slightly less but while everything was disassembled you might as well replace the works. Included - Water Pump Impeller, Housing, Key, Face Plate, Face Plate Gasket, O-Ring, Seal Face and Carrier Assembly Oil Seal

Good quality, but could have used better instructions
The kit was complete, and all the components were well made. However, if you aren't somewhat mechanical, it would be fairly easy to install the gaskets and backing plate in the wrong sequence. With better instructions, this would be a 5 star plus kit.

Don't pay boat shops for over priced services!
Boat shop wanted $400 dollars for a new water pump replacement. Got this on Amazon and watched a few utube videos. Took less then 2hrs to take apart and replace. I put it in a Alpha 1 gen 2 lower. Very simple process.
