Omega Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch”
Ref. 145.022 – Calibre 861 – 1971

Presented here is a highly attractive and honest Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, reference 145.022, powered by the legendary calibre 861. A true tool watch with deep historical roots, this example stands out thanks to its beautifully aged bezel, sharp case, and original Omega components throughout.

The Speedmaster needs little introduction—this is the iconic chronograph forever linked to NASA and lunar exploration, and the 145.022 represents one of the most important and longest-running references in the model’s history.

Dial

The watch features an original Omega black Speedmaster dial, crisp and well-preserved, with the classic tri-compax layout that defines the Moonwatch. The dial remains clean and legible, offering excellent contrast against the white printing and sub-dials.

The hands are original Omega service replacements, changed during a service at some point in the watch’s life—an entirely normal and acceptable practice for a tool watch that was meant to be used. They integrate perfectly with the dial and maintain the authentic Speedmaster look.

Bezel

One of the most charming features of this watch is its aluminium tachymeter bezel, which has aged beautifully over time. Originally black, it has developed a striking grey-to-blue hue, shifting in tone depending on the light. This subtle “ghost” effect gives the watch tremendous character and is highly appreciated by collectors.

Each glance reveals something different—an aging process that simply cannot be replicated.

Case

The 42mm stainless steel case remains sharp and well-defined, with strong lines and edges, and is possibly unpolished. This is exactly what collectors hope to see: an honest case that retains its original geometry and tool-watch presence.

The watch is fitted with an Omega-signed crown and Omega-signed plexiglass, preserving period-correct details that are essential to the Moonwatch identity.

Movement

Inside beats the legendary Omega calibre 861, introduced in 1968 and used in Speedmasters flown by NASA. Known for its robustness, accuracy, and ease of service, the calibre 861 is one of the most respected manual-wind chronograph movements ever produced.

The movement carries serial number 31,625,823, placing production in 1971, fully consistent with this reference.

Bracelet

The watch comes on an original Omega stainless steel bracelet reference 1171. The bracelet is notably long and will comfortably fit wrists up to 21,5cm, making it both practical and increasingly hard to find in this size. The 1171 bracelet is a classic pairing for vintage Speedmasters and completes the watch perfectly.

Why This Watch Stands Out

This Speedmaster 145.022 combines all the elements collectors look for: a sharp case, original dial, correct movement, and a beautifully aged bezel that gives the watch a unique personality. It is a true vintage Moonwatch—functional, historically important, and full of character.

Equally suited for daily wear or a serious collection, this piece embodies the Speedmaster’s legacy as a professional instrument built to withstand extreme conditions.

Sturdy, smaller sized supply caddy-well crafted.
Size: 5 Tiers (5.1"D x 39.2"H), Color: Rustic Brown + Classic Black
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Started out asking friends what they use for a cart - to clear stuff off their drawing boards, desks, etc. I've got an unusual amount of "things" in my workspace, and although I keep paints in a separate caddy to one side on my drafting table, the topside clutter was getting unbearable. Due to people giving me things, my interest in a few crafts, and just junk. Mainly I use the my wonderful, old, 1950s school cast-off - drafting table for painting - as it tilts and I have an edge on it. I've been wanting to also replace the top board, too. The usual caddies didn't appeal to me - the plastic ones annoy me as I can't see in the bins at what I should easily be able to reach and cannot see-though the opaque plastic. As I purged the clutter I realized I needed way less than I had and that's how I determined the size of the rolling cart. I use my spare garage and I have a lot of space, but that's the kicker - the more space you have the more things you could have, too. That's my reasoning for choosing a smaller cart. Narrow, to keep it minimal. Black metal to hide dirt. Wheels? a bonus - I'll just pull it back and forth out of its space--it's not going to be a trolley. I picked this one out of several because of price, and size, but I may come back at another time to purchase a larger one for the coat closet - mittens & hats & ski goggles & stuff.  I am going to look at the same brand, but I'm also going to choose one with sturdier wheels.  THIS CART was easy to put together, no issues at all. I didn't time myself - it took a while - under an hour is my best guess due to all the small pieces. I know it was manufactured this way to be able to fit it in as small a space-box for shipping, as possible. It was tedious, but certainly not an issue. Just lay it out the way the diagrams show you - they are perfectly done. It's sturdy enough as a supply caddy - you can't sit on the thing, or let kids romp on it but it's stiff in all the right places and the handle is perfectly placed. The top of it will hold my tablet or phone - next to my table; it's not a decor piece, but the black finish does look rather nice -with the faux wood/wood laminate top. Basket depth is well thought out, too. Coffee cans with paint brushes, some other tools, but the best part is no more clutter taking up space on top of my drafting table and I can actually use it the way it was intended!

Perfect fit

I was hesitant about ordering after reading some of the reviews, however it was exactly what I was looking for. It turned out to be a good investment, however the reviews were correct about the wobbly wheels. For the $ the wheels should have been made with better quality, which would have given the product more steadiness. Overall, a good product and it was easy to put together.

Great addition to my kitchen
Size: 5 Tiers (8.7"D x 39.2"H), Color: Rustic Brown + Classic Black
This fit my odd space between the wall and stove perfectly in height and width, I just wish it was long enough to go to the back wall. I found a tall shelf to fill the gap. The look of the cart accents my decor and will continue to match after I paint my cabinets. Assembly was straight forward and easy. Took about 10 minutes. The instructions were clear. The wheels don't like my tile for some reason so I'll have to get new ones from the hardware store, something that isn't plastic. This isn't an issue for the cart necessarily, my floor wasn't the best install. This cart works well on my other floors.

A must have in the kitchen to save counter space!
Size: 5 Tiers (8.7"D x 39.2"H), Color: Oak Beige + Classic White, Size: 5 Tiers (8.7"D x 39.2"H), Color: Oak Beige + Classic White
I absolutely love this food storage cart!! I was tired of putting all my breads, fruits, and veggies on my kitchen counter and just happened to have this sliver of space between my coffee table and the fridge. This storage cart fit perfectly and I like that you can move it around while cleaning or cooking. It fits more than you think and you can get creative with it (like removing food from packaging, using a basket, etc). It was really easy to put together. Materials are sturdy, not flimsy, and will probably last forever. It's super easy to clean and a great value for your money. This storage cart has saved my sanity in the kitchen!
