Or you can buy a sheet of Hardiebacker board from your local builder's merchant (1.2m x 0.8m 12mm thick is £10-£15) and at same time purchase aluminium right angle strip (use full lengths down all four sides of plate or just use a few short sections). Same process, cut rough hole and fit sealing plate.

All our register plates are 1.5mm Zintec and come complete with brackets so that the plates can be fitted to the wall for the register plate to sit on.

You have complete flexibility as you can cut your hole where ever you need.

Note: to cut metal you will need a "grinder" with cutting disk suitable for metal (usually 1mm or 1.5mm thick). To cut Hardiebacker board use the same grinder but with disk suitable for brick or concrete (cuts easy) or use a jigsaw. Kenny gives some good tips on cutting Hardiebacker with a jigsaw blade on this page.

Screw "angle" to wall using screws and raw plugs or Thunderbolts.
