JONI MITCHELL ARCHIVES VOL. 1: THE EARLY YEARS (1963-1967) features nearly six hours of unreleased home, live, and radio recordings that flow chronologically to paint a rich portrait of Mitchell’s rapid growth as a performer and songwriter during the period leading up to her debut album. This treasure trove of unheard audio includes 29 original Mitchell compositions that have never been released before with her vocals.

This 5CD collection includes a 40-page booklet that features many unseen photos from Mitchell’s personal collection as well as new liner notes featuring conversations between writer/filmmaker Cameron Crowe and Mitchell, who recently spent a couple of Sunday afternoons together discussing her archives. Crowe will continue to provide liners for future releases in the series.

Through a wealth of unreleased live performances, home recordings, and radio broadcasts, ARCHIVES VOL. 1 brings into focus the period when Mitchell was finding her voice artistically. It shows her moving away from the folk standards of her early days (“John Hardy” and “House Of The Rising Sun”) and starting to write and sing her own songs (“Day After Day” and “Urge For Going.”)

ARCHIVES VOL. 1 reveals just how prolific a songwriter Mitchell was at the time. In addition to early versions of songs that would appear on Song To A Seagull (“Michael From Mountains” and “I Had A King”), the set also features songs destined for later albums: “Chelsea Morning”  “Both Sides Now” (Clouds, 1969); “The Circle Game” (Ladies of the Canyon, 1970); and “Little Green” (Blue, 1971).

More than a just historic document, these recordings crackle with energy thanks to a vibrant and enchanting Mitchell. On many, you can hear her turning  tuning her guitar and telling a story about the song before playing it. That includes her rare 1967 cover of Neil Young’s “Sugar Mountain,” a song she says inspired her to write “The Circle Game.”

The collection begins in 1963 with her earliest-known recording as a 19-year-old Mitchell performs at CFQC AM, a radio station in her hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The box culminates with a stirring, three-set 1967 nightclub performance recorded at the Canterbury House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Well made and great fun for our Pittie
Size: 4.5"
My pittie loves these! They are way thicker than others. He has learned how to chew on the spikes. Seems like a good teeth cleaning too. Yes, the squeaker breaks! That is a great thing!! With his active chewing, that sound was driving us crazy after a while.

"Durable Fun: Pweituoet Heavy Duty Squeaky Dog Balls for Aggressive Chewers"
Size: 4.5"
Product Review: The Pweituoet 4.5” Heavy Duty Squeaky Dog Balls have been a hit with my dog, proving to be both durable and entertaining. Durability: These dog balls are impressively tough. My dog is an aggressive chewer, and most toys don’t last long, but these balls have held up exceptionally well. The heavy-duty material and spiked design are perfect for dogs who love to chew, providing both durability and safety. Entertainment: The built-in squeaker adds an extra layer of fun. It captures my dog’s attention immediately, and the squeak keeps him engaged for longer play sessions. The spikes also make the ball easy for him to grip and carry around. Size: The 4.5” size is ideal for medium to large dogs. It’s large enough to avoid being a choking hazard but still easy for my dog to pick up and play with. The size and weight are just right for games of fetch, too. Value: Given the durability and how much my dog enjoys these balls, they offer great value for the price. They’ve lasted much longer than other toys we’ve tried, making them a worthwhile investment for any dog owner with a tough chewer. Overall Verdict: The Pweituoet Heavy Duty Squeaky Dog Balls are an excellent choice for medium to large dogs, especially those who are aggressive chewers. They’re durable, fun, and well-sized, making them a great addition to your dog’s toy collection. Highly recommended!

Actually stands up to use
Size: 4.5", Size: 4.5"
I have a pitbull who is a toy destroyer. All those toys, even the ones that say tough enough for destroyers, never hold up. THESE BALLS ARE AWESOME! I bought the 2 pack of the 4.5 inch balls and they lasted a year. I literally am writing this review after ordering a new set. These are well worth the money and Ghost (my dog) loves them. Hes a 103lbs pitbull and his life mission is cuddles and destroying his toys... and these lasting a year of everyday use is friggin awesome. Both toys failed in the same way eventually. They gave out in a circle around the "squeker".

She chewed it up in less than 10 minutes. This is not for heavy chewers but dogs that like to actually play with their toys it would be great!!! I gave it a 3 because it worked for my other dog who likes to play🤘

loud but in a good way
Size: 4.5"
Love these crazy loud squeeky balls. I bought two a bit too big but the dogs still love them. Yes, they will drive you insane but the dogs love them so much it's worth it watching the pups enjoy the balls. They are strong and safe as long as they aren't too small for your dogs mouth.
