This kit consists of a pattern for the Marquetry hat and the Marquetry wrist warmers plus a set of 5 x 20g skeins of yarn. 

This ladies Fairisle hat is knitted in four ply yarn using an ombre set of Blue Faced Leicester and Masham yarn. This could be in natural colours or a set that has been dyed using the same colour.

Calyx – Blue Faced Leicester Masham - 50% Blue Faced Leicester, 50% Masham.

Four ply 100g Skein Approx. 450m

Blue Faced Leicester is a soft yarn and the Masham lends a depth and subtle marbling to the skeins. The two wools are combined in different proportions to produce an ombre set.

The colour options are natural colours or dyed with cutch to give peach to brown colours.

The hat may be knitted on a 3.25mm circular needle or DPNs and the wrist warmers on 3.25mm needles.

This item matches and co-ordinates with the Marquetry scarf.

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
