There are some memories, whether good or bad, that none of us ever forget. It could be something as simple as a song we would hear on the radio, or a picture of our friends taken long ago, or driving by a spot where one of our hangouts used to be that is now nothing more than an empty lot overgrown with weeds.
There will always be something that will spark a memory of our youth - and of our times spent walking the halls of Lincoln High Ð and it is these special memories that spark the ideas for class reunions, parties, cookouts, beer fests, Youtube videos, even movies, and, in this case, a book by yours truly.
But I couldn't have done this without my friends Ð and my memories Ð I'm going to share with you now.
Some of these stories you may have heard of in passing, or even have been a part of. Some of them may remind you of something yourself, and your friends, or maybe not so much.
Some of them may elicit a tear, some may elicit a smile. Some will be happy, some will be sad. Some will be funny, too, of course. Or just downright hilarious.
No matter what feeling you may experience from reading this book, one thing I'm sure will remain the same; we will all be reminded of a time long since gone that we all hold dear to our hearts for one reason or another, and got to revisit within these pages Ð if only briefly.
