This replica of the Star Barn in rural Pennsylvania offers shelter to two bird families at once, while displaying your love of architecture. White clapboard siding and gothic styled windows mimic the features on the actual barn, and a large star underneath the cross gable adds interest. Smaller star shapes rest between each window, and a large black roof completes the piece. A small layer of rock underneath the main part of the barn adds height, and evokes the stone wall found at the actual barn. A square cupola with star shaped finial tops the piece. Two 1.25" diameter entrance holes inside star shapes lend small birds passage to the two generous apartments. A wall separates the two sides of the home, preventing territory disputes. Drainage holes on the bottom help keep nests dry and clean, and a removable back panel allows for nest checks. Ladders underneath each entrance hole offer small birds a way to reach the opening when it is time to leave the nest.
