This precision-engineered accessory securely mounts any Kestrel 5 Series meter to a standard tripod-fitted bracket, transforming it into a full-featured weather station. Equipped with a large wind vane and precision pivot, it ensures the Kestrel remains oriented into the wind for continuous, accurate measurement and logging of wind speed, wind direction, and all key weather parameters.
The Kestrel 5 Series Vane Mount introduces several improvements over the 4 Series version, including a sturdier one-piece boom, easier assembly, more secure retention of the Kestrel meter, and the added convenience of a Kestrel mounting clip. The clip also doubles as a fixed 20º bracket, ideal for attaching to an extension pole when taking wind or airflow readings.
Your Kestrel 5 Series meter can be stored and carried inside the Vane Mount pouch, making it the most portable weather station available.
The entire Kestrel + Vane Mount kit weighs only 295 grams and measures 6.5 x 7.5 x 22 cm. It features an internal battery loop for securing extra AA batteries and a snap-strap on the rear for easy attachment to your belt or pack.
