If you have an older Silvia and would like it to look like the Rancilio Silvia V3, then this is your upgrade. Included in this kit is the fully assembled steam tap/valve body with the new commercial-sized articulating steam wand with removable 1-Hole tip. Rancilio originally fitted the new Silvia with a 3-Hole tip but has since returned to the single hole for better frothing. In addition, we also include in our kit the new ergonomic steam knob. It is much easier to grip than the old Silvia knob. This kit is direct from Rancilio, not an aftermarket source, so you can be sure that it will be a perfect fit and also be matched to your Silvia's boiler. If you are mechanically inclined, installation is simple. This part is non-returnable, once delivered. Technical support not included in the price. Please ensure you are up to the task before purchasing.
Compatibility
This upgrade kit includes the entire steam valve tap and body fully assembled with the new commercial steam wand and 1-hole removable steam tip found on the Silvia V3. It also includes the new ergonomic steam knob, which does make a big difference in grip. Rancilio originally released the Silvia V3 with a 3-hole tip but has since backpedaled after tests revealed the 1-hole tip outperforming the 3. In addition, the 1-hole tip is more convenient for dispensing hot water. Both parts will fit any Rancilio Silvia espresso machine. General mechanical knowledge will be useful when performing this task.
