Gilead Media is proud to continue our tradition of working with NorthAmerica's finest underground metal bands with New York City'sPYROLATROUS and their debut full-length TENERAL. It's no secretthat we're partial to the flourishing NYC metal scene, having workedwith numerous bands from the city. There seems to be anoverwhelming concentration of creative energy coming from theregion, and we love being a part of what's happening there.Pyrolatrous was formed in 2012 by Nicholas Palmirotto (also ofHULL), who wrote and recorded 3 songs with Joel Stallings (also ofRadiation Blackbody/Defeatist) on drums. The project took abackseat to HULL due to touring schedules, but was then revived in2015 after HULL disbanded. Unable to continue with the project at thetime, Joel was replaced on drums by the ubiquitous Lev Weinstein (ofKrallice, Anicon, Woe, Geryon, Zeal and Ardor live lineup, and more).Together, Palmirotto and Weinstein completed writing and recordingTeneral. Following the completion of the album, the remainder of thelineup was solidified with the inclusion of Nolan Voss (guitar, also ofAnicon), and Joe Merolla (bass).Teneral is a densely crafted album, both thematically and musically. Agreat deal of Pyrolatrous' style is influenced by classic black anddeath metal, utilizing both sweeping, blasting tremolo passages andpowerfully technical riff / percussion interplay. Although on TeneralPalmirotto and Weinstein elevate each of the album's ninemovements beyond what has become expected of the standardblackened death composition through their extensive experience andconsiderable skill. On a lyrical level the album touches on topicspersonal and social, but throughout they maintain a commonality intheir observation of life, existence, and the human experienceinteracting with both ones self and the machinations of society.1. Entertaining and helpful lessons
Format: Hardcover
My family loves this book. Used to read it to my daughter as a young girl and now she’s a teen. We still talk about the lessons learned in this book! The characters and illustrations crack me up: Smash, rip and ruin taught us a lot! And the ones without hands and noses! I couldn’t believe how long ago this book was written when we got it- all lessons still applicable today.

Fun Way to Teach Manners

This book was one I read to my daughters when they were young and I am now reading it to my grandsons. I plan to read it to my fourth grade class, as well.

... over with my 3yo and 5yo boys but they loved it!

I wasn't sure how this would go over with my 3yo and 5yo boys but they loved it!! They always enjoy pulling it out and now I can refer back to the characters to remind them of their manners in a more positive way. The only thing is I kinda wish they had used a different animal than pig, since for some reason I don't like saying "don't be like the pigs" (since I don't really want them calling eachother or other kids pigs). But so far it has been fine :) It's also very nice they included "Be kind to animals, they have feelings too." We say that all the time around here since we have kitties. Also the part about table manners is great since we had already been teaching the kids to ask before being excused from the table.

Manners Can Be Fun

What a cute book! I bought it for my 2 and 3 year old boys. We are attempting to teach them simple, common manners in a fun way and they love learning through books. Manners Can Be Fun presents manners in a simple, easy to understand, engaging way. The boys enjoy reading this book and it's a great way to have positive conversations about specific situations they experience daily like sharing toys, picking up after themselves, whining, meal time. It's a fun book!

Wonderful, simple book for children of all ages
Format: Hardcover
I am 65 years old and this was one of my first books. The revisions along the way have not changed the drawings that much. It is simple, but well illustrated, and gives a basic idea of good manners. I recommend it for every child - it makes them think about behavior. The way the author demonstrates "me first" and "whinney" have stuck with me all these years.
